REVIEW FOR NATURE REPUBLIC PURE FOUNDATION
Hi girls! Today I will be giving my review for Nature Republic Pure Foundation. Two points; I am loving Korean products lately and I am a foundation junkie.Nature Republic is one of my fave store because they have lots of items to choose from that won't make your pockets cry.
I got interested with this foundation because it is just P295.00. And on my mind was, if it won't work, it won't hurt my feelings :)
I am in the Shade 23, which is Natural Beige, the second to the lightest shade. Other shades are Pink Beige (lightest), Sand Beige and Tan Brown which is good for contouring I think. You just need to be careful in choosing the shades because in my case, Natural Beige is light but Sand Beige is dark. Good thing I am acidic so Natural Beige suited me better. They must have more shades.
The packaging is a plastic tube that is very travel friendly. It has the information at the back but they are Korean. What I understood is that it has SPF 40+++ and it contains 15 ml of the product. What I also like about it is the tip, which is pointed that can make you create this:
I love it hehe. Playing while doing make-up. I feel like putting a mayonnaise on my sandwich hehe. It smells like a refreshing Korean skin care product.
With the application, let's see my bare face:
I have small dark spots and dark circles. Let's see half of my face with the product. I used a mushroom brush but sometimes a sponge. :
Don't be shocked with the shade. I am acidic and my face is darker than my body so it blends well like what you see below:
It already set on my face. The coverage is light to medium and the finish is not so dewy and not so matte. Very natural looking but it seems like the foundation is "moving". It is not the usual foundation that is absorbed by the face. For me, it is similar to bb cream but better coverage.
I set it with powder because I am oily. After 4 hours, my face is a bit dewy but tolerable. I felt like I am not oiling up too much with this. And the blotting paper shows.
But it has the tendency to settle on your fine lines.
Overall, it stayed on my face for 6 to 8 hrs before I extremely oil up.
Been using it daily and my face doesn't react badly.
So let's see my final verdict:
PROS:
-Price is very affordable, won't hurt your pocket if it won't work considering it is a Korean Brand.
-Skin-friendly. It's not harsh on your face
-Packaging is very travel-friendly
-It doesn't clog my pores
-It did not state that it has oil control properties but it did control oil.
CONS:
-Shade selections
-Tends to settle on fine lines
FINAL THOUGHTS:
I give this a thumbs-up because my skin loves it. It gives me a decent oil control. The settling on fine lines can be managed.
Repurchase? Yes. It can be for everyday use.
Recommend? Yes. To those who loves mild foundation and those who are foundation junkie like me since it is affordable for a Korean Brand.
