Review for Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation

MAYBELLINE WHITE SUPERFRESH POWDER FOUNDATION

Review again pretty ladies! Rainy evening it is. But I won't stop reviewing and tonight I'll be sharing with you my experience with Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation.
3 months ago I was looking for a powder foundation which I can use as a "go-to" powder foundy. I am a Naturactor baby but there are moments I don't like wearing it because it is a full-coverage foundation. I just want a "go-to" powder wherein if my mom tells me, "graxie, alis tayo after 5 minutes", I can have a powder I can easily use which looks more natural. Since, I'll just give it a try, I bought the refill first.

I've been using the powder for 3 months already. It took me months to review this powder because at first I really didn't like it.  Why? The first two weeks I used this, I broke out. During those weeks of wearing the powder, I always felt like something is about to pop on my face. It felt irritating. And then after washing, yes, hello zits! I felt sad because I really loved the quality of this powder. Then my friend told me, that in trying out new make-up or new skin care products, you must wait for weeks, I think 2 weeks or more to really see if your skin likes the product. It is normal that in trying out new products, your face will tend to react. So I just continued using it. And then my face became "hiyang" and I no longer break out. After that, this became my holy grail, find out why:

      °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°VERDICT°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

CHARACTERISTICS:

●Maybelline White super Fresh promises a 12-HR Fair and Matte Experience with No Touch-up which means this powder is really good for oily skin. It says to give a bright matte and not a flat matte.

●It also says to be long lasting, gives flawless and even coverage, gives long lasting finish that doesn't clog pores.
● With SPF 34 PA +++
● The scent is really good.

VARIETY :

● It comes in full size packaging (with mirror) and with refills.
● It has 4 shades ; Nude beige, Natural, Honey and Sand Beige. Mostly are yellow undertones. I got the shade Honey.

INGREDIENTS:

● Active ingredient is mineral perlite for maximum oil absorption.

PRICE:

●Refill- P 199.00
●Full Size - P 299.00

I bought the refill at P169.00 during Sale.

SIZE:

● 9 grams

PACKAGING :

● Full Size comes in a white compact with mirror that has  a compartment between the sponge and the powder.

● Refills are also in a white packaging like this one and includes a sponge:

APPLICATION:

● I usually use the sponge for applying this product but at times I use a powder brush especially when I top it over a cream foundation to avoid a cakey finish.

●Usually, I can use this alone but most of the time I top it over my cream foundies or BB and CC Creams.

● It gives a medium coverage, not all blemishes can be covered but the finish is very flawless and natural looking.
● Since it gives a matte finish, dry patches can be emphasized.

 PERFORMANCE / LONGEVITY :

● I love how this product appears on my skin. It looks natural, flawless and very lightweight.

But I can say that their 12-HR No Touch Up Promise is not true for me. After 3 hours, I tend to start shining but it is still very tolerable. The shiniest parts are just my T-zones but the shine still looks healthy. At first, I tend to blot and retouch right after seeing the shine, but I read in a review that she just let her face shine without touch up because this product has said to have an ingredient which tends to absorb the oil afterwards. I tried it, I didn't retouch and I still look good. The shine was still tolerable and healthy looking. After 5 hours, the shine is still there but I did not look haggard yet. But then, there is still the fact that it didn't keep the promise of staying matte.

But after 8 hours, I really looked oily. I blotted and didn't touch up. I noticed that there is still a foundation on some parts of my face but there is already a need for retouching. After retouching, I am as good as new. There are times that after 3 or 5 hours I retouch again but that depends on the situation. If it is really hot, chances are retouching is earlier than 8 hours. But during the test, 8 hours was the maximum longevity.

Well to be honest, even though it did not reach 12 hours on me, I love it because I know my T-zones are very oily and the shine was not haggard-looking, it was dewy and healthy. And for me, a powder that stays on me 5 hours or more is a good one already because I know my skin-type.

It became my "go-to" powder and look, I hit the pan :

AVAILABILITY :

● Available in all Maybelline Counters

PROS:

- Packaging is very classy and I love that it comes in refills which are really travel-friendly. For first time users, they can save up.
- It is seldom that I find a foundation that really matches my shade. I love my shade Honey which is really for yellow undertones.
- The scent is really good. I always keep on smelling my powder whenever i use it.
- Price is really good.
- It is very natural looking, gave me a flawless look and although it is a powder foundation, it is lightweight.
- With SPF
- A powder that lasts on me for 5 to 8  hours is good enough.

CONS:

- I just didn't like the fact that it promised a 12-HR No Touch-Up. This one may apply to not so oily skin. Well I didn't mind that I retouched after 5 or 8 hours but I think if they didn't promise 12-HR No Touch Up, people won't get disappointed.

REPURCHASE? Yes. Again, for days that I just want a lightweight foundation, this is perfect. I'll just bring my blotting paper with me.

Smashbox Photo finish Primer versus Benefit Porefessional Primer

Smashbox Photo finish Primer versus Benefit Porefessional Primer   First of all, Happy New Year and Happy Valentine's Day... Hahaha... Yes blogging is back; it was never gone. I was just too focused with my corporate job but I am here now... and we will keep the ball rollin' So today, I will be reviewing 2 primers; Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and Benefit Porefessional Primer. It would be a comparison review. But let me define what a Primer is. Primer is a product applied on the face prior to foundation to ensure that the surface or canvass will be smooth, poreless, refined and sometimes used to prolong the staying power of the foundation; as it also can control oil. Imagine painting your wall? We use primer first before the paint right? Same thing on our face. There are difderent types of primers but today I will just focus on the 2 mentioned brands; Smashbox and Benefit. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe those brands are part of the high-e

Review for Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer

REVIEW FOR CELETEQUE HYDRATION FACIAL MOISTURIZER First of all, thanks for giving Grasya's Diary a sight. Today, I will be giving you an updated review for Celeteque Hydration Moisturizer.  I used to have oily skin, but due to some topical treatments and cleansers, I got a combination skin after. There were dry patches after weeks of using my creams so I asked my derma if I can use a moisturizer. She told me I can but I just need to put  on to dry patches in order for me not to have an oily face again. I was  confused with her statement because I know that even you have an oily skin, you must still use a moisturizer, just pick a water-based then.  So I still use it for the whole face hehe. I was using Myra-E before but I feel it's kinda heavy on my face so I tried this Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer.  Again, to reiterate, can we use Moisturizer even we have oily skin? Yes. Oil is different from moisture. Sometimes our skin tends to oil-up because it needs mo

First Impression Review for iWhite BB.Holic Everyday BB Cream

First Impression Review for iWhite BB.Holic Everyday BB Cream Happy Valentine's Day girlies. As usual, I apologize for being missing in action because I am into the corporate world again. But as promised, I won't be giving up beauty blogging.  Today I will be giving my honest review for iWhite's latest product, the BB.Holic Everyday BB Cream. I saw  this product in the group, The Make Up Revolution PH in Facebook (if you haven't join the group yet, please check it out because the latest beauty news are there) . Knowing iWhite, it was known for products that are very much affordable. I have tried their nose pack in which I was not satisfied (will be posting my updated review soon ). But though I was not satisfied with their nose pack, I still wanted to try this BB Cream because it is so affordable. So let's get it on. CHARACTERISTICS: The claims: For those who are new in the Make-up World, BB Cream is a blemish balm or beauty balm,
