Review for Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit

SLEEK MATTE ME IN BIRTHDAY SUIT

Hi there beautiful readers. Today I will be reviewing Sleek Matte me in Birthday Suit. Liquid lipsticks that has matte finish are very "in" nowadays. Nyx, Lime Crime, Colorpoup, LA Girl, LA Splash, Pink Sugar and other brands have these liquid lipsticks that has matte finish. Oh and Mac is about to have it also.

So what is with these liquid lipsticks that make girls go gaga. Well personally, I like them because these liquid lipsticks have that matte finish that is more smudge-proof than the usual solid matte lipsticks. I was also amazed the first time I saw this kind of lippy. And on my mind was, "Wow, how come it's liquidy in the tube and dries up with matte finish when applied? Wouldn't it dry-up in the tube? " Hahaha. So I was checking out shades of liquid lipsticks and I found this brand online. I love lipsticks with  nude pink shades and this Sleek  brand has this shade I am looking for. The shade is Birthday Suit. Do I love this product? Let's see.


CHARACTERISTICS:

• Sleek Makeup Brand is from UK I think (Please correct me if I am wrong) but this year, it is now available in our local markets. They have different lines of make-up, from powders to blushers to lipsticks to glosses to contour sets to matte finish lipsticks and so on.
• Sleek Matte Me is one of their makeup line. It is a liquid lipstick that gives a matte finish.
• Birthday suit is their shade that gives a nude pink color payoff
• The consistency is like of a usual lip gloss but the finish is matte.
• It doesn't have any smell.

VARIETY:

• Sleek Matte Me has 6 shades ; Petal is a light pink shade, Brink Pink is a loud coral pink shade, Party Pink is a pink shade with a hint of light coral, Rioja Red is a bright red shade, Fandango Purple is a fuchsia pink with purplish shade and Birthday Suit is a nude pink shade.

PRICE:

• It is sold P450.00 in the mall. I bought this online at beautycorner.ph for P450.00 with 25% discount that time so I just got it for P356.25.

INGREDIENTS:

• Ingredients were not stated in the packaging.

PACKAGING:

• It is in a rectangular plastic container, just like the usual liquid lipsticks. 

The shade is indicated at the bottom.

The cap has the name of the brand.

Batch codes and other information are indicated on the side.

APPLICATION:

• Application of liquid lipsticks with matte finish is quite tricky because it tends to dry fast. You have to be very precised with the application in order to get the desired results. The doe-foot applicator is good and I did not have that hard time in applying it.

• Upon application, it's still glossy unlike other matte-finish liquid lipsticks that even on just the application it's already matte. It's glossy for 10-15 seconds and dries matte after.

PERFORMANCE / LONGEVITY:

• It dries fast so you can immediately see the finish. The finish is very matte. It is not tacky. 
• It is really smudge-proof and kiss-proof.

Swatches on my skin

• The more you put, the darker the shade would be. In the swatches, I put a little more than I usually put on my lips. That is why it appeared bolder and darker. But on my lips, this is how it looked like.

I love the nude pink finish. My ideal shade. My everyday lipstick. It gives a very glowing effect on my face because the matte finish is really nice and noticeable.

• I noticed that when it sets on your lips, I don't know if my acidity is the culprit, it gets darker, but the shade it has become is still one of my ideal shades.
• After eating, it faded and was eventually removed.

My lips after eating. It just left a few product on the outer parts of my lips. I ate oily food so it was removed easily

After rubbing with water. It really fades easily.

AVAILABILITY:

• Available in Sleek Makeup Counters. The stores I just know are The SM Store MOA, The Ramp Trinoma and Landmark Trinoma.

PROS:

- The shade is very nice. I have other nude pinks but this one has the best nude pink payoff.

- It is not tacky. you won't be feeling you are wearing them.

-Smudge-proof and kiss-proof.

- Compared to other liquid lipsticks, the price is average and more affordable.

-Doesn't have any smell or annoying flavors which is a plus for me.

- Very pigmented.

CONS:

- It fades easily after eating. You really need to retouch after.

- Availability. Most of the time this shade is out of stock.

- Ingredients were not indicated in the packaging so I don't know if it has harmful contents or something you might be allergic to but so far I do not see a negative reaction on me.

Repurchase? Yes. Because of the shade. I love the shade a lot.  I'll just get used to retouching which is a super "con" for me but for the sake of the shade I'll give this a thumbs up. I recommend this to those who love nude pinks wherein retouching is not an issue.
